Mountain Biking — Whether you are an experienced mountain biker or want to try the sport, Bike Park Wales has some fantastic trails for your two-wheeled adventure.

Gower — Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Gower Peninsula not only offers award-winning beaches and inspiring scenery but a whole host of treasures just waiting to be discovered.

Star Gazing — The Brecon Beacons National Park is home to Wales` first International Dark Sky Reserve. On a clear night you can see the Milky Way, major constellations, bright nebulas and even the occasional meteor shower.

History and Heritage

The Big Pit — Big Pit is an industrial heritage museum in Blaenavon that offers a unique insight into the workings of a coal mine. Take the underground tour and see first hand the conditions the miners faced on a daily basis.

Caerphilly Castle —Built in the 13th century by Gilbert de Clare, this formidable sight is one of the greatest surviving medieval castles in western Europe. The castle‘s concentric defences changed the course of military architecture.

Dinefwr Park — Explore the beautiful 800-acre grounds of Dinefwr Park, discover the history of one of the most haunted houses in Britain and admire the majestic hilltop ruins of Dinefwr Castle.

Local Attractions

Dan Yr Ogof — The National Showcaves centre for Wales will not only offer you an insight into the world beneath your feet, but with a Dinosaur Park, Shire Horse Centre and a Farm you can be sure of a great day out. 

Craig Y Nos Country Park — If you are looking for a relaxing stroll through woodlands and wild meadows then visit the Craig y Nos Country Park, just a two-minute drive from our centre. With a dog-friendly cafe it is the perfect spot to unwind.
