We run a range of courses suitable for Key Stage 3 Groups (11-14 years old).
Young people at this age are developing life skills such as team building, communication and leadership. Our Key Stage 3 outdoor courses are designed to help them achieve this through adventurous activities, taking them out of their comfort zone and into new and challenging environments.
All of our activities can be linked to the curriculum, allowing students to learn outside the classroom and apply some of that knowledge to the world around them. Examples include:
Our main focus within our school outdoor education programme is adventure through learning. So as well as taking on new challenges and having fun, each activity will promote team building, introduce new skills and give students a better understanding of the outdoor environment.
Whatever the experience or ability our highly qualified instructors will encourage students to take on new challenges within a safe and secure environment.
Below is a course that we find works well with this age group. We tailor each activity course to the groups demands, but find it useful to give some guidance and ideas.
This price includes accommodation at our 3* activity centre, catering, activity instructors, safety equipment and insurance.
Transport is available from as little as £6pppd, although many of our groups choose to bring minibuses.
Through our activities we aim to help students achieve a range of learning outcomes across a number of subject areas, such as geography, science, citizenship and P.E. For most, this is a new and exciting learning environment which offers a variety of character building challenges.
